The cotton flowers are in the last phase. They start blooming on the bottom and work their way up.
The sun went behind a cloud and allowed me to get a shot of some of the flowers in the field.
This is my second favorite time of the cotton crop year, the first being when the last module truck is driving away, carrying the last of the crop to the gin.

My favorites: 1,2,11,15.
These pictures cheered me up this morning. Do you like any of them?

Thanks for the photo gallery, Yvonne. I particularly liked picture #2 (the baguette race) and picture #5 (Queen Elizabeth with her white gloves).

1) the flying jack russell – what a champion!
4) the stormtrooper pushing all his worldly possessions on a cart – now that the Empire has been well and truly beaten. Its like he’s going home to mom
20) The beautiful sunflower blooming, which contrasts against the bleaker background. So reminds me of Rudyard Kipling’s “Letting in the Jungle”
